Claire is a self-taught artist based in Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. Her experience of handling of automotive paints was gained as the owner of 72 Customs, a classic restoration company specialising in high quality, 'show shine' custom paintwork.

Claire now works with automotive paints on thin sheet metal and other substrates to create colourful and beautifully unique paintings and sculptures.

Transporting rigid, industrial surfaces into luminous compositions alive with movement and meaning. The use of automotive paints allow her to achieve exceptional depth, clarity, and reflectivity. Light becomes an active participant in each piece, shifting the viewer’s experience as they move around the work.

A defining element of Claire’s creative process is her synesthesia — a neurological trait through which she experiences connections between colour, emotion, language, numbers, and texture.

For Claire, colour is never purely visual; it carries feeling, structure, weight, and rhythm. Words may hold tonal hues, numbers possess distinct palettes, and emotions manifest as layered chromatic fields. This multisensory perception forms the foundation of her artistic language.

Her art embodies a dialogue between form and fluidity, logic and feeling — much like synesthesia itself.

Claire works closely with private clients, interior designers and architects to create custom metal features tailored to their spaces. The paint scheme used allows her to individually mix and colour match over 5,000,000 shades, giving her the ability to complement a range of interiors whether that be with a bright and vibrant statement design or using a soft and gentle neutral palette.

Her pieces have been integrated into interiors as shower back panels, architectural feature walls, and branded commercial installations. Each project balances aesthetic impact with durability and functionality, ensuring the artwork enhances both the visual and practical aspects of a space.

Claire is an artist inspired by the intelligence of nature, the untapped potential of the human mind, and the quiet poetry found within science and language. Exploring the invisible structures that connect these realms — the neural pathways that mirror root systems, the balance of life that echoes the patterns of wind and water, the unseen forces that shape both thought and landscape.

Nature is not simply a subject; it is her collaborator.

Science deeply informs her creative process. Viewing art and science as parallel languages, Claire translates scientific concepts into visual and symbolic forms, creating work that invites contemplation rather than conclusion.

Language also influences Claires' work. Words are viewed as living organisms — evolving, adapting, shaping reality. Interested in the space where language dissolves into pure form and where thought begins before it becomes speech.

Creating bespoke art that feels both grounded and expansive, intimate yet infinite. An exploration of connection between mind and matter, observer and environment, science and wonder.

Art is a wonderful form of escapism, something that in some way we all naturally desire. In the process of producing her work, Claire feels free, completely absorbed in colours, shape and the thought behind the piece. The end result is then passed on to another for their own release.

Inviting viewers into a world where colour speaks, texture resonates, and emotion becomes visible. Her work challenges conventional boundaries between material and meaning, offering a sensory experience that is at once industrially bold and profoundly human.

Using advanced laser-cutting techniques, each design is executed with exceptional accuracy, giving the ability to incorporate custom dimensions, exact shapes and even include corporate branding logos and elements seamlessly into the artwork.

This precision enables limitless creative possibilities — from bold contemporary statement pieces to highly detailed, bespoke installations.

By combining craftsmanship, technology, and design, Claire creates metal paintings that are not only visually compelling but also built to last — precision-cut works of art designed to elevate modern interiors.

Small industrial strength magnets can be provided with each painting to achieve a modern, minimalist solution. They are hidden behind the artwork, the painting appears to “float” against the wall.

Automotive paints are designed to interact dynamically with light. Metallic flakes, pearlescent pigments, and high quality lacquer create depth that shifts depending on angle and intensity.

Many clients also choose to light the reverse of their painting with LED strip lighting to create a warm, surrounding glow. This technique elevates the artwork — allowing light to gently frame the piece as though it were breathing from within.

Lighting is not simply a technical decision; it is an artistic partner. It completes the work, unlocking the depth, brilliance, and engineered radiance embedded in every detail of automotive colour.
